Today the local gay car club got together to go to a classic car junk yard(I'll post photos of that in another thread) well before we got there I found this appliance shop that has a rather large yard jam packed with vintage appliances. I took a few pics. I didn't get to go inside, was there before they were open. I'll go back during the week and talk to them and see if I can do a little scavaging.

Like I said, I will try and talk to the guy sometime this week and see if I can't go inside and take any more pictures of the place. Will post with whatever I find out.

These used to be everywhere. With the shinier models out front for sale. Had I been paying attention at the time, I could have had the world's definitive collection of Easy Spindriers. If only.

gowest84: Its located on Missouri just west of 51st Ave. Not to far from the Glendale Drive-In. If you want to go, let me know. Might be better to go together.

Looks like a plastisol tub Tappan machine, they were interesting but not very durable machines. Looks like a cool place to check out, keep us posted Justin.

OOH!  Great find, Justin!!   Please do let us know what else you find and if, by chance, there's an older Maytag top-load diswasher in there,  I desperately need the 'rolling' upper rack IF they are selling off any parts....

1st Picture

In the first picture the machine closest to the foreground & on the extreme right is either a GE Potscrubber or Potscrubber II (the control panel gives it away); behind it, lying on it's side, is an older Whirlpool with a porcelain tub (the rear wheels on the frame is the tell tale sign). If you do get to check this place out & that is GE Potscrubber II let me know...i'd love the racks!

Good luck!
