Back to the yard for me today, hunting for a timer for my WD-64 dryer. No dice. But, there was the avocado green Maytag dryer that had been staring me in the face recently. Maybe I should've rescued it when it was in mint shape, but at least it won't go entirely to scrap (yes, the recycler had banged it up by now).

Check it out..."Electronic Control", no mechanical timer, with a bell, and backlit glass. Beautiful.
And a washer that happened to be there, though I don't believe it was avocado. Just missing the timer center plug. Two speed wash and spin dry choices, 5 temp combos and 4 load size settings. A matched set of controls with backlights, must be good for display?

And then I found these three RR-3H, RR-4 and RR-4D controls. Two of them were on the cabinets but they were too ripped up to save. Got a couple knobs, but notice the slight differences. Will have to do until I find the real thing : ) The one, the paint has been removed (due to the fact it wears off with use, so they finished the job) and the other two are actually slightly different colors.

Washer console looks like my (1968) Model#806. I am currently looking around for some Frigidaire parts---e-mail me the Model and Serial number of that dryer and I'll ask around for you. If you have the part number that would be great. Best wishes! -Steve

Dryer Timer part #

Hi Cory - you should be able to get a rebuilt timer from Midwest Timer Service 1-800-253-7260. You will need the correct part number for your timer, check the model of your dryer to be sure this one is correct. Model DCDG-64 uses timer #7525331. If MTS doesn't have the timer in stock, you can remove yours and send it to them for rebuilding.

Those Maytag and Amana RR panels are very fun, you are really jumping into the collecting fast! Before you know it, you'll need a storage unit :)

That's usually why the Maytag electronic control dryers get scrapped. The control goes bad,and the dryer won't shut off. BTW,I've probably got a used timer for the 806 washer,if you're interested.
