What is everyone's opinion on a Frigidaire Custom Imperial dishwasher? I'm not sure of the model number, and I don't have a pic of it. I'll try and get one within the next couple of days. They want 30 for it and they say it works. I'm just wondering if its a good machine.

Depends on the year and how intact the racks/Plastisol inter

I loved mine--held a ton of dishes and washed well.  I played with all different wash-arm and tower configurations as well (plus control panel and timer).  Thanks to Redcarpetdrew, mine had near-perfect Plastisol; most of these from the late sixties through the seventies that I found were crumbling away.  Mine initially leaked profusely due to a broken Bakelite sump assembly (which has a rubber seal around the edge, and is just speed-nutted into the bottom opening of the tub).

The Custom Imperial should have lots of cycle options, plus rapid-advance electromechanical timer and 150-degree wash option if it's a GM-Frigidaire wash-arm machine.

They aren't quiet machines--they sound like a pressure washer on corrugated sheeting.

The only annoyance mine had was a tendency to wind down the nut on the wash arm and thus, stop it from spinning.  A stainless-steel flat washer and locknut put a stop to that.

I also had the GM-Frigidaire spin-tube, which washed great, but took some seriously adaptive loading, and had major trouble with larger-sized modern plates.  Fun machine, though.  Can't wait to see pics!
