I am not completely familiar with this model, but isn't it supposed to have three rings? I only see two, but maybe that's just the way the picture came out (?). |

Let's see, besides the MINT looking agitator cap I noticed immediately that the lint chaser ring is larger than normal.
Could this be one of those crazy Frigidaire engineering experiments, like the different sized openings found in some of the Deep Action Agitators made for the rollermatic's ??? Looking at the attached pic, I think so. |

No oil in the water, nor is the color off on anything that's just from the flash of the camera. The 3-ring agitator wasn't introduced until 1956 so two rings are the norm on this machine.
For those who guessed the lint-chaser ring is bigger, Ding Ding Ding. I was amazed to find out that the motor silencing ring in vintage beehive Oster blenders makes for perfect lint chaser rings! Its a perfect tight fit. And in case you don't believe me lol, have a close up look, lol... |

Sorry I missed all the fun, I was watching "Awake" to which I am addicted, and not just because the guy is gorgeous. But I knew the giant Lint chaser was too gigantic immediately, but I have no idea how or where it is in the Osterizer--gotta be inside, right. Or what you were doing inside the blender. ;-> |

So, for those of us who are going to start pillaging Oster blenders - does this apply to most vintage beehive's, or does it also possibly apply to some of the square base models as well? I have a few spares of both around...
I have absolutely no idea Ben. I can't even say that this was in all the beehive blenders, it might have been just a TOL feature. |

cute and creative.
Those would be equally attractive, and whimsical, as exterior fixtures. And sturdy. If one had those cement pillars I could see them as fixtures. |

Kinda neat-that Oster blender has been repurposed to another appliance--a lamp! |
