Beautiful set. I always loved how Sears showcased these, especially by hooking up and running them on display. They really knew how to market. |

I do not mean to sound arrogant but I belive the Pic I posted is of the only ALL ORIGINAL PARTS 1986 KM LTD with it's matching dryer in almond with the original sales papers known to ths club. As far as I know another one of these parameters has not turned up anywhere. While my modest collection is not much to crow about these machines are.

Hi Malcolm, WP was no longer building washers with the thin quite Pac belt by this time, the only thing that was different on this washer was it did have better rubber motor mounts and they only used the quieter Emerson motors by 1982 as GE and WP were feuding and WP stopped buying any GE motors for their appliances. |

Looks like the last Kenmore machine that I can see in my model listings to use the 96388 quiet pac belt was a 1979 Kenmore 80-series 24-inch machine. Not sure about the WPs, and I have no idea why Kenmore would have spec'd this in just one 24-inch model that year. I think prior to that the 1975 Kenmore 70 and the then current 1974 Lady Kenmore were the chief models to use it.
