Thanks KM71! That diagram is comprehensive and revealing. I did NOT know the speed select went through the CENT SW and it always starts on REG.
Note that the OVLD PROT is bypassed for the START winding in this cord. If the motor hums but fails to start using the cord, discontinue the test in about 5 seconds for the safety of the START winding and investigate further. Unplugged from power there should be continuity from RD to BN, from Y to W, and from W to BK. |
