My question is when I replace the top bearing on my recently bought 2006 ge dryer. Will all I need be just the two drum glides to put onto the top bearing piece or will I also need felt? I'm thinking I just need the two drum glides, but It seems to me that it would need felt also but the 2 glides are the only thing it says I'll need. Jus thought I'd get some of you guys opinions first if I could!

Felt

The felt should still be okay if not replace it.

Lots of times, I find the felt is loose, and bunched up at the bottom. But it's still in good shape.

Placement of felt

My dryer has felt only at the bottom half of the front bearing plastic piece. There is none on the top half of the bearing. My question is does it need felt on the top part of the bearing or just the drum glides?

The top ones don't usually wear out anyway. I suppose they might if the motor was at the top.
