Some of this stuff might be of interest to aw members.

This first one is a Frigidaire Washer motor protector but the auction says its for air conditioners. I've never seen a push button switch on Frigidaire AC's before, so I believe the seller has got it wrong...

Interesting finds

The Super Radiantube speed heat unit is a 120 volt unit. When you double the voltage of a 1450 watt 120 volt unit, you quadruple the wattage so you get 5800 watts of heat out of it. Since the unit & control cannot stand much of that treatment, both the unit and the control were vulnerable to shorting out and when the element shorts, it often takes the control out with it unless the control is fuse protected. When I use that unit on my range, I start it at the SIMMER position until I hear the click of the control dropping it from 240 to 120, then turn it to the setting I want.
