I just wanted to share the work that was done this past weekend, spent the time and lost a few cupboards in the process but gained a proper built in dishwasher and disposal!

All that is left is to cut down, and build a false drawer front for next to the dishwasher and project done!

Hobart -vrooom vroom! Nice D/W , I hope to install my completely rebuilt KDS-21A this week, with the "whisper quiet" wash!!

Nice T-20 there too! Only Sunbeam can make toast!! Eating raw toast can give one worms!!

P.S. are you in love with that floor Mike? --(it actually goes with that D/W but whooo very "heavy '70s!!)

and it works great. I use the low energy cycle for just about everything but the dirtiest of dishes and pots, and it always gets them wonderfully clean. Love this machine!

rule!! Don't get the hangup on KDS models, we've had several low line KAs and if loaded properly and water temp is set right they do a fine job! There's something to be said for the main principle of good Engineering: Keep It Simple Stupid...of our 5 KAs it's a Custom 17 that will ultimately be installed in our retirement home... take a look at the wiring diagrams for the different KA models, and you'll see the difference simplicity makes!

Thanks All,

It took some getting used to the old portable that we used before this ran right after it filled, and this one with the "water heat" pause has caught me off guard a few times.

As far as the floor goes, there is hope that it as well as the paneling that is throughout the house will soon be like the 70's a thing of the past. Hoping to update but keep a good eye on the age of the home which was built in 1965.

I love your kitchen flooring, but do agree that the paneling has to go bye bye.

That Toaster...

Wow, I recognized that toaster from my childhood. Theres a classic. Bread drops slowly down automatically and rises slowly when toast is done. Really cool.

Sunbeam ?

I had the same toaster too for about 35 years.

May I welcome you to the wonderful world of Hobart warewashing! Just be careful of putting fine items in the machine as the industrial wash action can damage them. You will love the rugged build and high performance of a Hobart built DW. I always have both at home and work.
