Interesting

This an interesting variation on the other models we've seen - especially that timer knob and control panel layout. I'm wondering if this was the first of the Potscrubber 3 line following the previous series - that timer knob just makes ya think.

Also interesting to note that the upper rack appears to be identical to the one in a GSD1200/2800

Interesting insight.

I don't know for sure as I am truly a Hobart and KitchenAid guy but you could be right.  I'm hoping someone who is an expert will chime in.  I do know by talking to others here that these GSD machines were the best performing  GE's.

This appears to be a 1990 built machine, based on the serial number - well after the Potscrubber IIIs were made.

I was at first skeptical about the racks because they are ivory colored, and I didn't realize that this fascia was in production that long. We had a 1983 Potscrubber 900 which looked nearly identical to this machine. I had no idea that it looked so similar to the 1200, as I haven't seen it since 1986. I think ours had more woodgrain on the front, like most other GEs of the early 80s. The only difference from our 900, which is probably why this is a 1000, is that ours didn't have the ammended rack on the left side of the upper rack. I have taken that out of both my 1200s.

Cool machine for 25-bucks!
