![]() Found this one while looking at the Raleigh, NC CL.
Sandy - they have your 30" self-cleaning GE range, but it's not white...

![]() Rather than start another thread, I thought I'd just add this beauty to it. For all the avocado afficionados out there, and only $75. CLICK HERE TO GO TO polkanut's LINK on Wausau Craigslist |

In white, I could live with that. There's also a white 1959 or 1960 40-incher on that page that's very nice, even if it's not P*7, though I don't have enough room to put that size in my kitchen.
I don't know what's happened to used ranges here in Waterloo - it's like they're against the law or something. I visit all the usual haunts, and stay on top of Craigslist, and all I find is stuff too new to be interesting or too far gone to be resuscitated. Our local Menards' pile of used stuff had a smooth-top range (top unbroken) that looked to be less than five years old in it Saturday. Only other range in evidence was a gas range that appeared to be from the Jurassic Era, and too nasty to even think about even if it had been electric. |

On that same CL page - this is the exact Raymond Loewy-designed Frigidaire range we had when I was growing up. All-porcelain, probably 400 pounds of General Motors goodness. This is the TOL, with double ovens, the Thermizer (with burner that could be raised), automatic oven control, minute timer, fluorescent cooktop light and the storage drawer, which Frigidaire withheld from its BOL customers at that time. Oh, and the full-width garnish molding on the storage drawer handle.
I still ache when I think about moving that thing out to the curb for pickup. Part of it is missing the range. The other part of it is my back! ![]() |
