While at the local Habitat for Humanity ReStore today, I came across a couple of items for sale that someone might be interested in.

This Mobile Maid dishwasher was for sale for $50.

The exterior appeared to be in pretty good condition, although some of the lettering was worn off of the buttons.

The top opens at the push of a button, and here is a peek inside.

It also appears to be in good condition, but there is a musty aroma and I'm guessing some mildew on the inside.

Another peek inside. I'm guessing that is the detergent cup attached to the front wall.

Here is an older Maytag dryer they also have for sale; they're asking $25.

Inside the Maytag. It looks pretty clean.

I sent you a couple of emails. I've been waiting to find a Mobile Maid like that one for a long time. And the mod laminate top doesn't hurt either.

That dryer has the galvanized drum like my aunt's bol dryer had.

Thank you Doug!!! I am very psyched. I've already started work on the illustration.

The Mobile Maid is now in my garage waiting for Ken's shipper to pick it up.

Here is a close-up of the buttons, with the contrast adjusted. The first button reads, I think, "Cover Open" and the second reads "Daily Loads." Does that sound right?

That lint filter in the dryer looks to be a bit full.

I like how they left a fabric softener sheet in the dryer. At least, I think that is what it was; I wasn't brave enough to touch it, LOL.
