You knew...Philco-Bendix.

It reminded me of the Speedqueen that was just mentioned, 500lbs and anchored to China.

and yes it is a hardmount machine requiring a solid mounting base.   It is a coin-op machine as evidenced by the coin meter and vault.

Milnor manufactured for Bendix? That's interesting...and they're still used today, it appears.. although the one there looks like it's from the 1950s.
..wonder if they service the laundromat units annually or as needed?

WOW....I remember these machines in the laundromat when I was young, people would come in with 30 gallon trash bags of clothes and "PACK" these units tightly full, don't know how it ever got them clean, but then again it was usually whites, and I would watch them dump a gallon of clorox in.....when they spun there was barely a hole thru the center to see the back...at that point it was more of a soak and extract

I always figured these machines were for big blankets and rugs...

polkanut: argh! now it hits me...I thought after a long while posting it, I have seen it before. Sorry! I would take it if I had a few more and could open a mid-century laundry /coffee bar. :-)

No need to be sorry.  I'm glad to see it was reposted.  I didn't know it was still available.  Thanks.
