I've sent the seller an e-mail asking for a photo.  Not sure if "brown" means almond or coppertone.....

Lawrence,

Tan colors don't seem to photograph well in many digital or cell phone pics. I think there is a good chance that those machines may be Toast in color actually. Almond often shows up as almost white in lousy photos or it shows up really dark, but since the seller said "brown", I gotta wonder. It might be cool if they're toast color.

This is the exact model pair that I had bought in late June 1986 at Circuit City. Washer was $349 and the dryer $269 I believe. They were out of white, and selling Toast for the price of white. Almond was $10 more each machine. I cancelled them in later July after I found my Kenmores which I wanted more, even though the WP washer had a feature or two that was better or more cool than the KM. The KM dryer was $11 cheaper and much better (full width door and larger capacity).

Interesting machines - would be worth someone checking out.

Gordon,

When I first saw the photos I wondered about Toast, too.  The seller is, in a word, clueless.  Brown is brown is brown to her.  A personal inspection would be the only way to really know their color.
