Every summer we have news stories of house and apartment fires caused by air conditioners with faulty cords or being run on small extension cords. This looks like the principal character (or cause of ignition) in a coming story. | ||

Why do I have the idea this Kelvinator would also reek of cigarette smoke? Have you ever been near a room a/c that has been in a smokers house when it is first turned on? | ||

I've seen worse condition a/c window units. Down in Galveston with all the salt air sometimes the exterior fins just fall off from all the salt in the air after just a few years. You gotta rinse them off almost weekly for them to last. | ||
