This just popped in a search; I don't believe anyone else has posted it. It is another turquoise set. The seller is "taking offers," so who knows how much they really want for the set.

Here is the ad text:

I have a set of 1963 washer and dryer lady Kenmore 800 series I'm accepting offers for the set to give me a call at (702) 624-6453

Washer

It is interesting to compare the differences between this and the 1964 set for sale in Oklahoma.

Nice set! I had a 63 70 series set in Coppertone (that now resides in Charlotte), can't hardly believe the differences.

'63 Set in Las Vegas

How much does anyone think it would cost to ship this set across country (approximately)?

You go to www.uship.com... and follow the steps to get bids on the shipment.

Well, that and hope you don't get any of the dolts from Shipping Wars as a shipper.

Working On It

Have a friend in Vegas who is going to look at the machines for me & pay. I am working on getting them transported from Vegas to SC!

I have used TSC Moving and they are good but really slow and only service certain sections of the country. You can go to the web-site for a quote and check service areas. I know they do Las Vegas.

Unfortunate News

My friend in Las Vegas went to pay for & pick up the machines today & the guy had sold them to someone else over the weekend. Pretty bummed about it. Had shipping arranged with Uship.com & everything...

Craigslist, the last bastion of honerable sellers... yeh, right.

That is total B.S. and I really do feel for you having gone thru that myself.

Sorry to hear ... that happened to me once when I was trying to buy an old car. The agreement had been made, but I waited a week to meet to give him payment and pickup the car. The seller changed his mind in the meantime.

My lesson from that experience was that I should have paid and taken delivery on the spot, which I realize wasn't an option in your situation.
