Would anybody have a spare fill hose for a Hoover Twin Tub that they'd be willing to sell me? I have the end for my 0519 that plugs into the rubber port on top of the washer, but I need something to fit over my kitchen faucet. I could probably rig something up, but I'd like to find an actual hose if I could.
Ebay has them on occasion, but they always seem to be in the UK or Australia, and the shipping to North America costs more than the hose. |

Original that came with mine was already cracked and falling to bits and soon thereafter departed this world. Since then simply use a normal washing machine fill hose with a "snap" quick-connect at the faucet. Mind you my Hoover TT is a manual operation, if you have the model with automatic filling/rinsing your needs may vary.

When you say "snap coupler", do you mean a unicoupler adapter? If so, my kitchen faucet has one installed for my KDS-58. I guess I could use a washing machine hose with it, but I'd like to find an original Hoover fill hose just to have.
Alternatively, I could use an actual unicoupler and then would be able to snap it right onto the kitchen faucet, but is there any place that sells these, without having to buy a second hand dishwasher/washing machine that is connected to it? |

Lowes web site was useless...so had to go to Home Depot.....in any case they can be found at both places.....
I have 3 TwinTubs....one has the auto rinse.....this is the part that I use.....check the size of your current faucet adapter, and buy one to match so you don't have to switch the aerator out everytime!..... but the same.....connect a standard washer hose to this and cut off one end, it should fit your input for the spout perfectly....actually I think they sell a utility hose with only one end...your choice of what to get, and consider length.... NOW....for the non auto rinse units.....I have put together, using the same unicouple, a faucet sprayer with hose......pieces to adapt and connect one to the other can be found at Lowes as well.....I got all of my stuff at one location....it can be done.....
but for all intent purposes....I brought the faucet to the machine, ready to open the spinner, spray the clothes and close for the spin....ALL without reaching over and turning the faucet on and off, back and forth... did anyone not understand this part?....do I have you confused? I use the the Garden Hose Multi-Spray Nozzle with 10 different selections. What fun to recognise how each squirt pattern most resembles different washer brand's fill flumes. Oh, this is a perfect imitation of a Maytag flume; this one's definitely a Blackstone; this one is Jetcone's 56 Easy to a tee, etcetera.
Will demo tomorrow. |

yeah Mickey......I have a long ten foot washer hose with an adapter for my laundry tub using a garden sprayer......great ideas for cleaing out trash cans and large pots and such, or washing the dog......the older double tubs should have had this feature long ago.....guess we have to do it ourselves...
I didn't want to confuse these guys too much yet......but almost anything can be made, done and hooked up for any application you need... especially when the stock boy at Lowes tells me what I need to connect and hooked up can't be done.....watch me!....they can't think any further than what that part was originally made for.....but we know different....we should have jobs there....show them all! |

Yep unclejohn, that is the exact type of hose I am looking for.
Interesting Yogitunes, your adapter in Reply #6 would work for me. I guess I should bring my faucet adapter with me and make sure that it fits properly before buying one that isn't the right one. And sorry, I don't have any spare fill spigots. |

Yes, you were asking above... "I need the spout part that you lift and turn, to autorinse or fill the wash side".

Well, I haven't had any luck finding anything that would work for what I want to do. Yogitunes, I found the adapter you pictured in reply #6, but it won't snap to my aerator on my sink. My aerator is like the one linked below.
So it looks like my best bet would be to find an actual unicouple identical to the one that is on my KitchenAid KDS-58 and then both would snap onto the same aerator. Wouldn't need the full length of hose, as long as there was a little piece I could clamp another piece of hose to. Does anybody have such a unicouple that they would want to sell? Can you still get these new? Stevet? Either that, or find an original Hoover fill hose that would fit over top the aerator. CLICK HERE TO GO TO barcoboy's LINK |

best thing to do....since you want to use your current aerator, take yours off, and take it with you....either to Lowes, HomeDepot, or any Plumbing store.....and have them show you the one that matches and fits your areator.....
they may not sell the snap nipple by itself, you may have to take a new aerator with it.... then you are set..... a simple washer fill hose with one end cut off should fit into that opening on your twintub with ease.... |

THANK YOU YOGITUNES!
I received the coupler in the mail yesterday, and tried it out today. The female end snaps on perfectly to my existing aerator, so I got a laundry hose and cut one end off, and screwed the other end onto the coupler. It is a little loose fitting pushing the hose end into the Hoover, but I will wrap a bit of black electrical tape around the outside of the end of the hose to tighten it up. The other thing is that the unicoupler on my KDS-58 fits perfectly onto the male aerator section of this coupler, so I replaced it in my sink's faucet and now have a nice bubbly water flow from the tap. I had to take the aerator section out of my old adapter because it contained a water-saver disc, and the dishwasher wasn't getting enough water to fill to the correct level. That made the tap very splashy... now with this aerator, it runs nice again, and there's no water saving so my KDS still fills properly. Thanks again for finding this for me! |

See, now what did I tell you?......how easy was that?....congrats....haha, he's on a roll......and glad it all fit for you....and actually you now have better results.....someone is a happy camper!
yeah, for the most part that hose should fit snug, but that can be based on the hose being thick enough, and the port not being so worn as to let a loose fit.....but nothing that a little tape can't fix.... also, we try to stay close to original, but sometimes thats not always possible, and we improvise....and think outside the box.... keep me or MrMaytag/Teddy in mind when you need belts....we have a few solutions maybe you should have grabbed another snap-couple for use in test situations with other machines that may come along.....just a thought!.... plus, these were inexpensive to boot.... I have 2 Hoover TT's, one with Auto-Rinse, and one without....plus a Maytag A50 and a wringer...so I have several option change outs for each one...yet one aereator!.......the ideas are endless...... |
