This dryer was visible in an earlier eBay listing where a washer was being sold and a few people here comented on it. Now it has a listing of its own, though the price will cause most people to pass.

Price Is a Problem, But....

It's great just to have a picture of this rare beast - Turquoise was only available about a year or so into the 806 machines' history.

This definitely goes into the Appliance Porn folder.

The only things that could top it would be a matched 806 Turquoise pair. Or - gasp! - a 906 pair in the same color.

Sigh.

I'm happy to have the pictures. Didn't Jeannie and Major Nelson have a couple of these?

Interesting

Here's a link to my thread about the electronic Maytag that is sitting next to this dryer.  What's interesting is the two locations.  The original CL ad for the washer lists the location as Dunwoody.  The Ebay ad for the dryer lists the location as Snelville.  These are not even close to each other.  I wonder who's pulling what (i.e., who's zooming whom?)

Gasp! A 906 set in that color...

If I had it closer and cheaper, I'd try a little consolectomy and switch consoles with my CDE906. THAT would be appliance porn!

A cheaper way to buy this

This is now listed on CL for $100.  Atlanta.
