Yes, and isn't that the one with a roll-out freezer, magnetic safety door, no coils in back for fitting flat against the wall ? Looks similar to the one on retrorenovation.com, too! You'd think someone would want to show off the rest of it, with more photos..unless they're hiding the not-so-goods.

That Is....

....The TOL for 1957, taller than most GE's, with an extra-capacity freezer drawer. Most bottom-mount Combinations were the model right below it, with a freezer drawer not as tall as this one. These models were repeated almost entirely unchanged for '58, with the exception of a blue liner instead of a pink one (thank God!).

Too bad the interior shot is so limited; it would be interesting to know if the meat pan, egg trays and butter and cheese dishes have survived. All those things are usually long gone on these Combinations.

Phil, there's a date on the image you posted: June 27, 1959.

Yep:

That's a '59, when they went to swing-out shelves, as opposed to the turnaround shelves.

Still a much better liner color than pink. Never could stand it.

Dream Machine

Mine would be the '59 since it's entirely frost free, and the swing-out shelves are a nice design improvement.  Ideally, I'd like a slightly newer model with the spill-proof shelves.

PhilR - I wasn't convinced that the ad dated July 1959, was the same refrigerator - could it not be, also, a 1958 model. Reason my questioning has to do with the round emblem not seen in the middle of the two drawers...the one for sale has this round medallion or some image and the ad shows it missing. With art in my background(way back), I looked at those details, but couldn't find a solid 1958, that went to the blue interior, as Sandy(danemodsandy) talked about.

I would love a frig like this. The 1967 Food-A-Rama is another one I would like, but I'm not sure I know what I'm asking for, not knowing it's plus/minuses.

Ok, thanks PhilR!

So is the one for sale Petal Pink or Woodtone Brown? I can't tell on this monitor.

The One For Sale

Looks like Woodtone Brown to me.   Check out the picture in reply #1.   The metal strip for the magnets is mounted on a portion of the pink interior liner, and to the right of that is the brown exterior cabinet color.  If the exterior were Petal Pink, there would not be a notable color difference.
