Neppy = Neptune. Maytag Neptune. The Neptune TL (TopLoader) was the last (far as I understand) "new" mechanical washer design Maytag produced. Lower-end FAV6800 with button panel (per the ad), and higher-end FAV9800 which had a touchpanel same as the MAH7500 Neptune frontloader, water heater and slightly higher maximum spin RPM.
