Hello Everyone!

I'm just curious about the posts that I've seen on eBay, for the vintage Kitchenaid dishwashers. Does anyone know anything about them?

The reason I ask is because my 13 year old Kenmore Elite has started making noises, and I REALLY don't want to go out and buy one of the new pieces of junk that's out there. I'd rather repair the KM, or look for a vintage Kitchenaid.

Thanks!
Mike

If you post a pic or two of your current DW and describe the type of noise that the machine is making it may be a very easy repair for you. It could be something as simple as something getting caught up down in the sump that's not suppose to be there and removing it.

Those "refurbished machines" have been there for quite some time. I'll venture to say years.

They are a pretty penny and I think there is no "warranty" or returns.

I don't think any of the members here have ever bought one. I don't have time right now but I'm pretty sure the seller has about 6-8 of these machines.

Eddie's comments (toploader55) are right on valid. I imagine some have stopped by to kick the tires so to speak but I don't think anything else.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I bought the KM in 2000, and it's been a really good machine. It's quiet, and cleans everything 99.9% of the time (even baked on foods). I'm hesitant to part with it (I've only had to replace a couple of minor things on the wash arm). It's my daily driver. Okay...I just talked myself into keeping it. LOL.

Thanks guys!

Mike

A friend of mine lives close to this place...

..he went over to look at them and the condition of them varies widely. He does offer a 90 day warranty on them. My friend wanted to purchase more than one of them and the salesman would not budge at all on price that I recall.

At those prices he didn't feel they were worth it.
