A few years ago, I found a Miela Touchtronic washer and matching electric dryer. They were in the trash heap of a local used furniture and appliance store. I brought them home and the dryer worked fine. The washer needed a new mothrr board, new feet and a use and ,are guide. I phoned their service for assistance and gave them the models and Serial numbers of each. They were purchased in June,1999 from a dealer in Quebec,Canada and shipped here in 2002. Even though it was out of Warranty, Miele set up a service call, sent all the parts AT NO CHARGE! The machine was repaired and worked great. When everything went down and my belongings stolen. Had battled it in court and won but the guy is flat broke. His x girlfriend,Sheryl, called me from out of the blue yesterday to see if I wanted my Miele washrr and dryer back. She said they were moved outside and she had her truck to move them. She had already had them loaded and was in Hilo when she called. They weigh a ton! They both have the riser drawer.
The washer was moved by three guys loading it sideways using the inside opening to grab on to the inner tub. When I hooked them up,the dryer is fine but,the washer is somehow making a scraping noise. It's not the barings because when it reverse tumbles,it's silent.Only once it excellerates to spin does itake a scraping noise. Whe Bob comes tomorrow to rebuild my LG Steam Tromm washer, I'll ask if he can give me an idea what's up.

Robert came out earlier today with a brand new tub and spider pulley for the LG Tromm. After disassembly,we saw the seal had leaked and the barings are also shot. He has to get the new barings and will be back Wednesday. He saw my Miele and said he didn't see it there last Thursday when he came to look at the Tromm. I told him what happened and how the guys screwed with it by opening its door to grab the drum while carrying it. He readjusted the tub and it is now back to normal again. I'm tempted to sell it but its a genuine high fashion model and a few of our neighbors who saw it have been asking about it. None of them knew Miele made washers, just vacuum cleaners and coffee centers. The 2277 is working great and I stacked the GE Dryer on top of it. Once the other Tromm is rebuilt, I'm installing another seperate tankless water heater for just those four washers. The other one I have is used for the indoor hot water supply. Both are Bosch and need no power supply. The water pressure causes a spark to light the flame. It saves us almost $400/ month on power cost. The water heater we had before was a GE 60 gal electric. It was horrible and with electricity costing $.53/KWH here, we had.bb to make serious changes to save money. Our next move is solar panels, twelve of them to use instead of Hawaii Power and light.
