Here's another leaflet that Matchboxpaul has asked if I have, obviously the deluxe is made by Hoover, but the others I'm not so sure. Hope that you like it, regards Alan

Very interesting. I've seen the W/D before under another name ( I feel it begins with "S") but for the life of me I can't remember. The back of the drum in the middle machine looks quite Zanussi. Would be great to find out who produced them.

Well Alan great to see someone managed to keep hold of the best adds, Currys sourced many different appliances from a number of manufacturers over the years, the above being Hoover (A3110) the middle washer could be forgiven on the first page for looking like a Zanussi 919/929 and the washer dryer is made by Sangiorgio also,

I do like the look of the Hoover door, looks rather swish with black trim...the washer dryers were rather fast and efficient for their day!!

Great brochure there Alan. I know you said you have lots so keep em coming especially from this era. I'd love to see more. I wonder if there is a working Carlton machine out there somewhere.....

BTW shame we didn't get to meet up before I moved out. When I get settled into the new place I'll have you over to see the Slimstar in action as promised.

Cheers
Steve

Yet another time Mike's memory encyclopedia guessed right!
Italian, ligurian company, nowadays owned by fagor and unfortunately making mostly "cacca".....
Here a nice photogallery of their historical appliances, you can spoth both the models present in curry's brochure

More on the way...

Thanks guys, and yes Steve (and others) sorry I didn't get back to you about a meet up, I would love to do this too. I've just moved house as well and all my time seems to be disappearing on that! I will upload more brochures over the coming weeks. Cheers, Alan

Hi Alan.

Really appreciate you scanning and sharing this brochure. In the space of a week, you have provided images and detailed information on two mystery machines, that have evaded me for years.

With the Servis Continental you showed us a rare branch of Servis history and with the Carlton brochure you have shown us finally what the A3C16 looked like, as well as the standard Italian member of the Carlton stable.

I have been cheeky and updated my 'First Hoover Keymatic to final Electron' thread and added your brochure image of the A3C16.
Barring the remaining mystery washing machine, in the form of the A3170, the thread now contains images of every known washing machine that were designed for and sold in the UK.
Thanks to alan for the valuable information on the A3C16 and everyone else who have helped with information and images over the years.

Regards
Paul
