I'm wondering if the matching dishwasher is D&M or GE sourced?

Do. Not. Want.

That thing is et up with cheapness. I'm amazed Tappans of this era didn't collapse of their own accord.

Wow!  I haven't seen that range in a loooong time!  My parents bought their first house in 1980; that's the range we had.  Although ours didn't have the unit up above, and I don't exactly recall what the backsplash of our unit looked like.

Very cool to see that, we sold the house in 1996, and it was still running.  I remember it had a convection oven, and my mom was always proud of that.  It also had some parts replaced from time to time; more than once my grandfather and father were down on the floor, replacing parts from underneath.

Looking for the model number on my Tappan range

Hello -
I have a mid seventies Tappan double oven range that needs a new glass insert for the lower oven door. I am having trouble locating a model number -there is a data plate under the burners, but there are a lot of numbers on it! Any ideas?

Model and Serial Number displayed

Hi Jkiszia,

It's probably in the order as indicated "model and serial" where the // forward slashes are dividing the model number (which is very long) and serial number (which is short). But I want to say the model is the shorter of the two.

So it's either Model 73-4457-23-03361-8752 or model 0039
and it's serial is either the longer number of 0039. I'm guessing the shorter number is the model number.

Hope that is of some help?

Phil
