HTD heavy duty detergent

I wonder how they can keep selling this without problems, I mean, phosphated laundry detergent, sure is that it is a good thing for them, and for their customers...but thought the "phosphate ban" was issued even for commercial laundry products...
Surfing the web you could actually find thousands small to medium business throughout the country, selling and or producing detergents, with brands for commercial use that you may easily have never heard before, infact commercial laundries and or kitchens or everything commercial needing cleaning products seem still relies way much in local products and distribuiton, this because they really do not care much of nationwide known brands like indeed is for domestic stuff, they just care to get the stuff and often they look for and call chemicals by their name, ex: an housewife seeks for "Oxy clean", an insider in commercial laundry will seek for "Percarbonate"... same is for dishwashing.
Don't get me wrong, do exist several known brands even for commercial, just think of commercial Tide, Dynamo, All, large powder buckets meant for commercial ... but even true their target are small and semi institutional facilities, like churches, B&B, small family owned motels, inns and communities etc... but large commercial laundries do not usually care of brands...
I recall a thread opened time ago about regional detergents brands... unlike in Italy, in the USA seems there is a more net distinction between commercial and domestic stuff, rarely you'll find something locally produced in a store in the USA, I mean, companies producing detergents won't create an own line of products meant for domestic use to be sold around in said area, for example you find Tide, gain, purex etc... But rarely a packet of the Brand X produced from the detergent factory near there...
In Italy indeed that happens all the time, every small to medium factory that produces detergents for commercial do also usually have a line meant for the domestic destinations, so in the stores (both small family owned or big chains)in a said area/region you will find some detergents that you will never find in another etc...
Then of course there are the big brands you will find nationwide...

So they do not often make stuff branded directly for domestic use with their own brand, and when they does, the brand is just known locally, if they're smaller they may also carry raw materials, semi-finished chemicals for detergent production and finishing in separate locations from other companies, some of them do also produce detergents for private labels and local supermarkets and stores, some are also commissioned to produce powder detergents or semi finished stuff for different companies that are missing an atomization tower for powdered forms of detergents, or equipments for specific processings.
The detergent in first link, says being manufactured from snee chemical based in Harahan LA.

For what concerns the oxy additive you mention, even on the Snee website they do not tell any info about, but I do not see why it should be "cut" with soda...

Checkrate/Likes I found this while searching for phosphated detergents and was wondering if anyone had ever heard of it or used it... the description says it does contain phosphates. Also, the same company has a large pail of dry oxy bleach but Im wondering if its the same as oxiclean and filled with washing soda or if its mainly just the oxy bleach itself. Checkrate/Likes 1 *There are scores of commercial/institutional dishwasher* Products you and or the average consumer will never hear of because they are not designed nor marketed for home use. Leaving aside certain vintage units, domestic dishwashing machines have different detergent requirements than commercial. Commercial units then and now largely have short cycles that clean dishes which have been pre-rinsed or even washed, more like sanitizers and going the last mile in terms of cleaning I'd say. Domestic units with their long cycles and other features are designed to deal with dishes ranging from barely scrapped to almost not and deliver various levels of clean. You aren't going to find a unit that takes >three hours to do one load in a commercial setting. As such detergents for these units are different because of such cycles. It makes no sense to use enzymes for instance in commercial units because they do not run wash cycles long enough to allow the things to work.

Checkrate/Likes Im not really too worried about dishwasher detergent, adding a half teaspoon of STPP to the main wash cup, filled with either cascade powder or action pacs, seems to make everything come out squeaky clean and with no ooky film. Until I added STPP to the dishwasher, stuff would come out filmy with a wierd odor, couldn't even drink out of my glasses because the smell made me want to gag. I am interested in the HTD laundry detergent though, just wish I could find an MSDS on it! Im tempted to just order some ( I have an EIN ) and see how it works! But Id hate to waste $40 if it's crappy.

Checkrate/Likes my last visit to a Habitat ReStore, for $5.00 I got a 50lb bucket of MC-300 Chlorinated Machine Dishwashing Compound....for Automatic Machines... Starco Chemical a Division of Diamond Chemical not bad stuff, everything comes out sparkling...... I won't have to buy dishwasher detergent for about a year or more.... kicking myself for not grabbing two or three of them, especially for that price... around here we can also get regular home use Tide powder in a 5gallon bucket for around $27.00 .....

Checkrate/Likes Martin, you mean the 5 gallon american Tide? Liquid? I ask this because there are around from a while street tent that sells Vietnamese Tide powder with Downy in Buckets... The stuff is often reported being fake, apparently it is not fake, but just a kind of Tide sold in Asia and that probably just miss safety indications to be legally sold in the USA, but it comes from P&G and is Tide just from another country and different than the american one, just like the small Chinese Tide bags I heard some people have found in Dollar stores and that I could see sold all over in China Town... worldaccordingbruce.blogspot.it/2... victoria.usa4trade.com/5gallon-bu... thecounterfeitreport.com/fake_rep... Checkrate/Likes yeah, thats the one in powder form....hey, it smells and works like Tide, who is to argue.... and it may be a fake, but then again, that letter sent by Bruce, the response came back from Tide, not P&G....that seemed a little odd to me... besides, P&G doesn't have a problem of having this stuff produced in other countries do they?....cheap labor, and yet charge us and outrageous price.... I loved the part of them sending him a cents off coupon....WTH?....not even a coupon for a full box.....what the heck is he gonna do with a quarter?.... I get bugged by the coupons they put out lately.....P&G Tide is a great example....buy 3 boxes of Tide, and get 2.00 off.....you call this a savings? I remember buying the 25lb box of Tide, one cup formula, it was $25.00, and you got a $5.00 coupon, then it was worth it!.... speaking of liquid.....I bought Liquid Tandil(orange bottle/blue cap) detergent from ALDI.....it sure smells and looks, not to mention cleans just like Liq Tide!....for $6.99....you have to wonder sometimes..

Checkrate/Likes 1 *Have Seen HTD Laundry Detergent Pop Up On FleaPay* So you may want to keep your eyes peeled there; though unless there is a free shipping option it might prove to be dear. Obtaining information regarding commercial laundry and or cleaning products of all sorts is often very difficult. Because they are sold often via distributors or route sales persons that is usually where one is directed for information. Have spoken many times about how Ecolab will NOT deal with any domestic consumers who happen nab their products. You can purchase whatever you want outside of their normal distribution channels but after that you are often on your own. Many commercial laundry, dishwashing and cleaning products come in or for proprietary dispensing systems. In the most extreme cases it is the sales person that will set things up including programming of machines or whatever. The commercial customer is not given access to the information and is simply advised to contact their local supplier/salesperson/distributor for assistance.
