I know that when you say "Mid Century" you mean 1950, not 1850, but something came up on a local Craig's List and I wanted to see if anybody had an opinion on a brand.

"Heartland" makes modern kitchen equipment dressed up to resemble appliances from the 1900's. I live in an unmolested 1910 house and the kitchen is mostly the original finish and trim, with a built in cabinet and sink set dating from about 1950 (BOL cabinets, BTW).

I've been tossing around the idea of looking into Heartland for years now, but all of a sudden "used but still fresh" set has turned up not far from me.

Aesthetics and Price aside, does anybody know anything about this brand from personal experience? opinions from a trusted friend?

I am very tempted to just offer the guy $20 to let me come over and inspect them for about an hour. (Yes, I know I could just pose as an interested buyer, but that would be bad faith.)

This set is in northern Ohio.

Still, opinions are welcome.
