It could be one of two problems with these machines; 1. Could be broken or worn suspension springs. 2. Suspension plate pads needs to be replaced. You'll need to get a manual to help make this kind of repair. "Do it yourself repair manual for Kenmore Automatic washers" {Direct Drive} It can be found on ebay from time to time or from your Sears repair/parts centers.... Good luck! |

The brake shoes are too tight. You can either change the spring in the brake assy or squirt some oil up there. |

I gave it a shot of WD-45, lo & behold, works like a champ!!!! Thanks for the info Al :) |
