I vaguely remember that commercial. If I recall, Timex did a commercial with a watch attached to a Outboard Motor Propeller.

What a great commercial!
I agree Allen, I have not seen a Timex in years. (new) I see the used watches all the time in Thrift Stores.

How Bout That....

It was at one time the common man's most dependable watch. I wonder where the switch came where there was so much competition. I guess designer crap started to filter in. So in style and such crap from the beginning.
Of course we had Rolex and such, but that was a class of their own.

Archer test-In the same link as the (failed?) outboard motor test-John has an archer fire an arrow tipped with a Timex watch thru a glass target.After the archer retrieves the arrow from the backstop and hands it to John-John then shows the watch still running.Motor test--FAIL-arrow test-PASS.
