Is there any reason the DW couldnt be removed and installed by itself? I like it too and I'd be very interested if it were a 24" wide model.

The cabinet is literally a one-piece unit - I'd fear the wrath of the gods of dishwashers if one tried to cut the dishwasher out... LOL

The seam made me think it could be removed from the unit.

I am pretty certain that the dishwasher in the later KitchenAid Electric Sinks could be interchanged with another KitchenAid dishwasher.

I believe also that the dishwasher in Westinghouse Electric Sinks were able to be removed, and were not physically integrated into the Sink cabinet. I would have to take a closer look at the ones that I have.

It seems that another brand had a dishwasher that was not integrated into the sink cabinet, but I can't remember which, if any.

Who made the single lever faucet for these HP sinks?

The Westinghouse Electric sinks could easily have the DW switched. My 8th grade homeroom teacher had the early 50s WH DW-sink and had the roll out dw changed to a late 60s HP and then to a WP which she loved, all in the same cabinet.
