Found this on craigslist. Pretty cool looking but no brand listed. Top loading portable. Any ideas what this may be? I'm curious.

I'm sorry I can't upload photos on here. If you click the link you will see the dishwasher is just one of many vintage things they have for sale.

D&M variant

Bakelite impeller, decent performer, made for kajillions of brands. I had the pleasure of using a Plexiglas-topped machine that was of this design:

Hmmmm... Wonder if this could be one the 'American Kitchens'-branded version of the D&M portable?  That lid latch mechanism doesn't look familiar...

Amazing!

You guys, it is just incredible that you all were able to get all that info about this machine from that one grungy photo and no other description than "old dishwasher." Thanks for the info. You all should pool your knowledge and publish a book about old appliances. Seriously, I'm not kidding. The wealth of knowledge on this site is just amazing. Even a video of the machine in action with a clear lid. Where else can you get that?

Washdaddy, thanks for the pic. I need to learn how to upload pics.

Thank you again, for the lesson of the day. :)

Our ill-fated Frigidaire had a similar lid latch.

It appears to be missing the unicouple.
