ad: " Hunting for appliances for your mid-century home? Here are a charming vintage pair, in matching brown, in excellent working condition, awaiting a "new" home before this one is host to an upcoming estate sale and then sold:

*Spacious free-standing General Electric range and oven, with three large storage drawers, extra "counter space" between the rows of stove eyes, and cute little punch-button controls. Oven is clean, comes on and heats up instantly, as do all four eyes. Some rust on inside of one storage drawer, as shown in photos.

*Adorable, clean, working General Electric Frost Guard refrigerator, still chilling its contents and freezing items up top. Note from photos retro handles and styling.

Dimensions:
Stove: 40" wide, 36" tall (floor to surface of range; 43" floor to top of controls), 26" deep
Refrigerator: 28" wide, 25" deep, 61" tall

Asking price--
Stove: $300
Refrigerator: $175
Purchase both for $450

Sold by Dixie Estate Sales of North Alabama on behalf of family of current homeowners. Home is extremely clean and was very well maintained, occupied by the same two sisters, former school teachers, for decades.

Must pick up. Home is located in Athens, AL, straight north on I-65 a few exits past Dcatur. Contact Carolyn for more information."

My favourite style of the frostless version of the GE Refrigerator.  I would love to find one in...wait for it....turquoise!
