A rare gem and yes, it's a Hotpoint.

With a built-in rotisserie, an accessory griddle that plugged into the main backsplash and didn't cover any burners, AND a deep well cooker/deep fryer. Truly a magnificent appliance made for people who cooked and knew how to cook. Look for them only in books...

I'm not a fan of stainless, but if the price were half of what they are asking I wouldn't think twice about putting that beauty in my kitchen

Our local Hotpoint dealer...

Has 3 of these, he said they were a special order item, they actually are brushed chrome, 1955, tol, 2 oven lighted pushbutton, Hotpoints 50th anniversary model, they are in truth, 39 inches wide..

Yikes!

I can't imagine keeping an entire brushed-chrome range free of rust, particularly in the South.

Well, there are some cooks who would rustproof one by coating it in fried chicken grease and keeping it that way, but that's not a strategy I'd want to employ....

Thats HOW

You know its chrome, Not stainless, Johnny."Our local dealer," had one in a basement that a pipe dripped on...the chrome bubbled up and it rusted underneath, but the other 2 he has look about new.

There's too many distractions in appliances, and I'd add this as another one. It's unique and blends into a more contemporary-mixed vintage kitchen design strategy, I think.

Fried chicken grease for rustproofing? Keep the cats and dogs away, they'll feather it. :-)
