Is this a washer, not a dryer? I can't read the dial, but I don't remember Whirlpool having a top door for dryers, I thought they were front doors.

Washer of course

I couldn't copy the original ad, without a double-take, but someone (you) would surely notice.

This brings to mind, what is actually intended for sale here? :-)

I believe that's a 1972 model.  Match, to the color, to the dryer my granny had.

That is a 1972 model. Wish there was a money shot.

It's "cute' in its spartan-design ; were these good performing washers? I can certainly do a search in aw.org....just wondering.

My mother had that exact washer in white. For a family of five it did the job for many many years. She had hers almost 20 yrs before she replaced it with a DD unit.

The washer has 2 water levels, 5 temps, 3 cycle(normal, gentle, perm press), 2 speed, standard capacity.
