30" GE range in avocado, with an usual console. Appears to be using components from the Mark 27 product line instead of the usual upswept top and higher controls.

It is a slide in that is meant to give the impression of a drop in. It is early 70s. Some of the Mark 27s had a similar backsplash. Similar ranges were seen in apartments in Atlanta. |

Must be an attempt to attract the type of buyer wanting that elegant look, and the high-line window treatment in this particular unit seemed to be the best way to do it...
GE seemed notable for putting at least one unique, eye-catching feature in at least one model, in what would be an otherwise bland line-up in its products... Though, not that the sales of such even without, were ever blasé... -- Dave |
