That one..

Is not as old as you might think, it was a portable model from the early 60s I think, could have been late 50s, Robert Perdue in Roanoake Va has a 1950 set hooked up and working!

It and its matching washer were made by Proctor Silex. At Sears, they were not sold with the majors, but with the housewares near the irons, both in the stores and in the catalog. The washer was a square cabinet with a round tub and had a detachable wringer. You either HAD to do laundry or HAD TO WANT to do laundry to use that set up.
