That's a nice looking stove. I believe it's a '61 if I remember correctly.

PhilR or anyone: how tall is the panel on the back in inches? It looks like the camera has exaggerated the actual dimensions.

Phil, I'm not sure if it changed between '60 and '63, but our '63's panel is 11 inches high.

It's one of many things to like about vintage GM Frigidaire stoves: tall control panels mean less chance of burning your extremities when operating the unit with pots working on hot burners. It's amazing to me how many manufacturers let this important safety feature "slip" when dumbing down their designs to increase profits.

our'76 REG-38 backsplash is 15" high from cooktop surface to top of the backsplash, making control location comfortably high, and the all-glass surface makes it very easy to clean... still Frigidaire at it's best! ... but not for long :-(

Roger, did you get your REG-38 back in Binghamton?

Jason - it seems higher, but 11" is good , 15" is better, but to me, it looks best on a 40" wide stove, because of the visual proportions that many do not mind or notice. I like the all glass surfaces - getting to know what was and what is today....sobering.
