I have fully restored the wringer head (gear box) and frame for a Maytag model 110/10/N10 wringer washer. Every part has been dismantled, cleaned, and stripped of old paint. Repainted with Valspar's "Leafy Rise" - a green color very closely resembling the original grey-green Maytag color. The gear box has been refilled with grease. Original rubber rolls are in fantastic condition for their age - the black upper roll is still pliable, as it should be.

The only part with an improvised fix is the oil cap on the drive shaft housing, where I have used a small plastic plug. Authentic spring caps can be purchased through auto parts suppliers.

Anybody currently owning a Maytag model 110/10/N10 that requires a replace wringer assembly can contact me by e-mail or through this club bulletin board. I'm hoping to get something in the range of $100.00 for it.

Was the lettering painted the same color or did Maytag have a colored contrasting white or red lettering? I am asking even though you probably know what factory-original looked like.

Thanks and nice job!

Original decals still available ...

Hi Phil ... to my knowledge, the entire pressure bar with the Maytag name was always painted the same "Maytag green" color. The photo below shows the appropriate decal that would go on the wringer frame end - these are still available from a guy in Ohio, through the Maytag Collector's Club, www.maytagclub.com/page-3.htm... The link below shows all the decals available through Kevin Fisher.

Hi Brad - you know, I would have painted the raised green Maytag lettering a white, myself, but that wouldn't be original. Anyways, that's just my art side talking. By the way, were you still searching for a Maytag model 30? Is this one a Model 30? It's in terrible shape, sorry.

That's a Model 90 - late 1920s ...

I'm always on the look-out for a Model 30P - that is, a 30 with pump. I love the model 30 that I restored, with a gravity drain, but I thought it would be fun to have a pump model in the collection. Besides, I need a new restoration project!

P.S. love the new pic of your black-and-white cat!

Will keep an eye out; sounds like a not too easily found model.

Thanks, that was a stray we took in and adopted to our former neighbors...Domino is a big mush face, he's a big sweetheart.
