I thought I was having a flashback to my great-aunt Alice's house when I saw the pic above.  She loved her's, and it sure got a work out too.

A TOL W-H Terrace Top? Does it have a lighted control panel?

I've always wondered...

about how user friendly these would be in real life. It seems to me that if one was boiling a pot of something on the top tier that it would easily fall off the edge of the burner. I have nightmares just looking at this. I also wonder if a good sized pot could fit on the bottom tier. It doesn't look like there is much room between the edge of the burner and the top tier.

I don't know...maybe it's just that I use some good-sized pots and pans on a daily basis for my "good-sized" family. Does anyone have any experience cooking on one of these?

They look really cool, though.

For normal cooking its

Wonderful, its great because the lower units are much easier to use when cooking sauces or anything that has to have constant attention, that and being on 2 levels your pot handles never get in the way...that and the usual wonderful performance of the Westinghouse oven, makes it a great stove!..not great for huge stockpots or canning..
