Ad calls it new. Maybe unused/barely used circa 1987 (or even earlier)....and $500? It's cool, but not THAT valuable, is it??

These 'Indoor Bar-B-Ques', made by Jenn Aire, et. al
A lot of these 'grill ranges' which tried to give you Cooking of the Great Outdoors, INDOORS, suffered from poor performance, difficulty in clean-up, unreliable incidence of repair, and (Cough, cough! COUGH!!!!) inadequate ventilation...!

I recall seeing a lot of these at Sears in the 80's - although I swear it was just yesterday. These looked cool, but then I thought of cleaning them and moved on.

'80s Kenmore Range Hint:
YOU DON'T WANT ONE. You don't. Trust me.
The reason? The worst cleanability factor of any ranges I've ever seen - anywhere, any time, any brand. Control panels are badly placed, and they are composed of many parts, with grooves between components and frames around components and little grease-catching embossed areas. There are a lot of cast, chromed pot-metal pieces and they are all waiting to soak up your day off cleaning them. This fake Jenn-Air is a prime example - look where the controls are placed - just where grease will land when frying. The clock/timer has a nice grease-trapping frame around it. The indicia are screened onto the control panel, so anything that removes grease will also affect the lettering sooner or later, probably sooner. You Do. Not. Want. One. Below is a photo of the one in the house I had in Marietta, GA, taken on move-out day. That range was the single most hateful piece of cooking equipment I have ever used, bar none. I still resent the loss of all the many, many hours of my life I spent keeping that piece of crap even halfway presentable.

I remember those at Sears. We bought our first house together and I wanted a Jenn air but those Kenmore ones had a cheap almost tinny feel to them in comparison. Anyways a few years later when the other half was wanting us to move out to the country and I was hesitant he tricked me by saying that if I went along with it I could get that Jenn Air I always wanted.. well I never got it LOL Harkening back now it probably would have been a waste.
