It's lovely, beautiful, alluring, sexy, and furthermore I wouldn't mind having it..but the burners are like a mouth of a woman(or man, depending on p.o.v.)...and all four are filthy messes.
It may sell anyways, but for the price, the burners and the underpinnings should be immaculate. Back to what was distracting - yes, yes, yes to agree with all of your comments. |

Burners - with the exception of Sensi-Temp ones - are kind of the least of your worries when buying a vintage GE. Parts are still pretty readily available, except that you'll search long and hard if you want original-type aluminum burner bowls instead of today's cheap chrome.
For $125 and no road trip and with a place to put it, I'd be all over this. It's in tons better condition than the J 757 I just put into storage until Spring, when I can hopefully get around to what looks like it will be one sphere-buster of a restoration. |

Sandy - if it was $125, I might make the 90 minute drive up there, even though I'd have to rent something from Avis or other, find someone here and there to help me load and unload it and then park it later, in Michigan. I'd seriously think about it, but regardless, the price is too rich for me.
Incidentally, it looks more like avocado when I view the link than when I view the photo posted. It's closer in color to another GE cooktop, said to be green(avocado) (atlanta.craigslist.org/eat/app/47...) I guess a model number would verify a color?
