This is an older Lady Kenmore Washer and Electric Dryer, Series 90. Washer needs a new pump (can get at Sears Repair Parts for under $85.00). Dryer is in great working order. I purchased a new set when the pump went out on the washer. Cabinets are in very good condition also. You haul.

I actually bought that dryer a month ago, they just haven't taken the posting down for some reason.
I haven't posted on it because my camera's on the blink and I hate not being able to show it off. I just had the back off for the first time and noticed a few odd things: first, it's very very clean. No dust, no lint. Then I noticed there are interior parts missing, like no blower, no belts, no junction plate box on the motor. Perhaps this was a floor model or a spare that got scavenged for parts. I had hopped this would be a "plug and Play" dryer, but now with so many parts missing I will have to go over it carefully to besure it's not missing something vital.

I purchased a Kitchenaid portable and had it shipped from New York. The seller said it worked the last time they used it.
I got it home, plugged it in, and water went all over the floor as it started to fill. I figured just a hose was loose. I didn't have time to deal with it, so I took it down to the basement. Several months later I decided to start working on it, so imagine my surprise when I took off the bottom plate and realized they had stripped it of the drain solenoid AND the drain reservoir. But it was mighty nice of them to button it back up so neatly...... |

Scoots/Bendixmark - I love the panel color and design on those washer and dryers; the washer panel is in great condition - any thoughts of painting the entire cabinet ? How long have you owned that washer and did you have a lot to replace to get it working again.
Super32 - it's funny, I'm not really a big fan of the Lady K's of this vintage, but honestly, those look very good. I wouldn't mind such a clean looking set, at all. |

There are two links - Model 110 :
1) Washer redding.craigslist.org/app/475399... AD: " enmore Electronic Fabric Care Washer Model 110 - super capacity with computerized control flat panel interface. You will notice there are no knobs on this washing machine. This machine was $799 new. The motor is going out (pulled and tested). New one is about $125 shipped (http://www.ebay.com/itm/661600-Genuine-O... ). The water pump drips a little. New one is about $13 shipped (http://www.ebay.com/itm/3363394-3348015-... ). The good thing about the older washers is that they fill completely with water (level is front panel selectable from minimal water to filled to the top). And, they rinse by completely draining the water and refilling. The new top loading HE washers may have big capacity tub, but they only fill about 6" to 8" of water. Forget the rest of the tub. Watch one wash that has a clear lid. I did for 3 complete washings. And some of them only dirty rinse to save even more water by only draining 1/2 of the wash water and then adding more water to rinse. The motor and pump are simple to replace. Here is a video that will show how the pump and then the motor is removed and replaced (as well as the direct drive coupling): www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlp... The direct drive coupling is good on this machine. I pulled it and looked at it. However, they are about $5 on ebay or $10 from the above link. You can either repair this one or use this one as parts for another like model. My wife wanted a new matching washer and dryer set. That's how I know how the new top loading HE machines wash. (They don't. It's sad.) " 2)Dryer : Kenmore Electronic Fabric Care Dryer - $75 (Redding/Millville) - redding.craigslist.org/app/475396... |

It is a 2 speed model. The washer harkens back to the days when KM and WP shifted to gentle agitation the last 4 minutes of the old W'n'W cycle and on some versions, on the Normal cycle too. The Pewrm Press cycle shifts to gentle at the point on the dial that's market delicate. On the Normal cycle, it shifts to gentle at the Knit/Delicate designation. both of these cycles happen at the 6 minute mark. Only Heavy Duty gives fast/fast agitation and spin. Normal probably ends up being a fast spin speed. Like when Sears finally began putting a speed knob on their shredmores. Normal was a slow wash and fast spin speed. Heavy Duty Fast/Fast. Casual was slow/slow. They had a fancy name for the fast wash/slow spin--had the word hang in it. This was their timer sequence design before they bgan putting speed selkector knobs on the panel. |

Not quite BOL...more MOL. They look to be a 1979 model 500 set. The washer has 3 cycles, 3 levels, 3 temps and is standard capacity. Gordon (Kenmoreguy64) has the same model in his collection. |

Wringer washer fans: Here's a pristine example. Did Wringer Washer technology peak in the 60's or just get the bean-counter treatment of lowering quality/costs and increasing profits by the time wringer-washers were discontinued? Too bad…no money shots.

ad: " I have a Kenmore Elite washer and dryer that work perfectly. Selling them just to update the appliances in the house. The dryer has an electronic control for dampness. Both are fairly large capacity, not sure exactly how big though. They do have some nicks and scratches on them however these can be touched up with black paint if it bothers you. The dryer in the pic shows some of the trim missing, I do have it and can install it before you pick them up. They are not currently hooked up as the new appliances have already been installed. They have no issues whatsoever."

Dryer brand is Norge or Montgomery Ward. That was the slimline washer and dryer series. There's a POD with the washer & dryer that the washer has retractable wheels to allow it to move about. I don't think there was every this black shade for a Kenmore washer & dryer this low in the line--a 60 or 70 series. This could have been refinished after purchase. |

There was a family who relocated up here with the rest of us. They built a 3-story hours pretty much on their own, husband was a big-time engineer. 1987 and all appliances were the "in" color, black-glass look. As I went by the laundry room, I did a double take. The washer & dryer were a center dial Kenmore pair and they had been professionally refinished in the matching color as the rest. |

No power cord probably means that the dryer was direct wired. Our first dryer had the electric cable going directly into the junction box on the back of the dryer. Later I installed a receptacle and cord. Also possible is that they took the cord off to use on another appliance. |

Unless it is the quality of the 2nd photograph in the ad, the basket appears to be speckled. Imagine coming across another washer of the same LK model Gordon has with that color tub. I did not think that was likely to happen again so soon. |

Both for $100? Hmmm. No photos. Hmmm.
Ad: " Kenmore Elite Washer and Dryer for sale. Asking $100, the price is firm. I have posted this ad a few times and everyone apparently thinks my description of the issue with the washer means that it is broken. It works fine, however, since I want these out of here I am selling for $100. For this price it is worth it for just the dryer, so if thats all you want, then great! However, whoever comes to get these is taking both the washer and the dryer. Read below for the description Dryer is in good condition and works perfectly. The washer has an issue where it sometimes hangs in the middle of a cycle. After doing some research we determined that it appears to have something to do with static charge, and the problem is eliminated at our house by leaving the machine unplugged when not in use. From what I have read it appears to be an issue with the ground terminal of our outlet, as one forum message said adding a localized ground should completely cure the problem. The machine works great beyond this minor hiccup that you might not ever experience, but we wanted to disclose everything we knew. I have listed the model number below so you can do some research of your own if interested. Washer: Kenmore Elite Calypso Model: 110.24084200 Dryer: Kenmore Elite Model: 110.65944401 I would prefer to be contacted via text. " CLICK HERE TO GO TO ovrphil's LINK on Miami Craigslist |

ad: " Selling working HE washer and dryer set. Make and model information is in pictures. It is a Kenmore set with a gas dryer.
Washer has water sensor, so it only uses the amount necessary to clean your clothes, very water efficient washer. Dryer is gas and also very energy efficient. Has moisture sensor so will only run as long as necessary to get clothes dry. Cash only and must pick up. It's a great deal for this set, as I paid over $1800 for it…" |

Are these anything? Look pretty basic but if that $80 is for both it seems money well spent. Ad copy: $80 obo - KENMORE 70 series Almond Color Washer & Dryer. Both in EXCELLENT WORKING CONDITION; minor cosmetic blemishes. Used for less than one year by one human then in storage for the past 10 years. We hooked them up and indeed, they both still run flawlessly. Perfect if you're a property owner for a rental that needs a new washer & dryer that will last for many years; all at a terrific price. See pics. E-Mail to buy; INTENTIONAL SELLER! WASHER: 25.5" from front to back; 29" across the front (width) and 36.75" high. Back control panel adds another 7" up on the height measurement. DRYER: 27.5" from front to back; 28" across the front (width) and 36." high. Back control panel adds another 7" up on the height measurement. ad: " Dark brown Kenmore Elite Washer with Calypso Wash Motion. Model number 110.2506.
XL capacity and works better than our brand new one. I will help you to load it on the truck. It is in the dry storage now and can't be connected, but is running well. We had to replace it for smaller model because of the remodeling of the closet space. Loading on your truck will be quick because everything is disconnected and on the ground level. Comes with manual. " CLICK HERE TO GO TO ovrphil's LINK on Boston Craigslist |

You spoke my thoughts.
Hi Alex - what I do is laborious, but effective. Others probably do the same…. 1) Choose Atlanta, enter the item "Lady Kenmore" , and I choose "Owner" and "image only"(so I get a picture of what's being sold), and I sometimes control the least expensive control selector, if desired. Press enter or the search arrow right of "lady kenmore". 2)To see "Lady Kenmore" possibilites in other cities, I just click on the drop-down city box where "Atlanta" is currently shown, and select another city. Just selecting that city will now automatically refresh your browser with all possible Lady Kenmore's or kenmore appliances with that city. By continuing to choose another city in the drop down box, you can move around the region and country very quickly to find Lady Kenmore's or Kenmore's that are in other cities. Other search engines work, but they will not allow us to screen out those CL sales that have expired - so I feel your pain, Alex. I use searchtempest.com and adhuntr.com - but they do not give me the best results, but they do work and can yield some good finds. But they turn up too many expired listings, overall. The way to limit this is to choose advanced and specify the EXACT appliance word you want returned. AND, try using the time search feature that will produce results over the Last Month or Most Recent(choices on the left side of adhuntr.com). I hope this helps you and others. |
