Unfortunately, that is a very rare accessory. In the few years that I've been paying attention I've only seen one come up for sale on eBay, but I don't remember what it sold for. I was looking for one for use with my A700, but ended up installing a lint filter from an A702 with a built in fabric softener dispenser instead. I suppose if I came across one I'd still buy it, but I'm not holding out much hope for that. Just for the archives, or perhaps to torture you a bit, here's a photo of the one that sold a couple of years ago. I doesn't look like it was ever used.

Hi Ken, I found one of these NIB a few years ago when working for this older lady in a really old house. I was working on a late 80s WP pair and while waiting for the washer to fill my eyes are scanning the messy basement. And sitting on a shelf high above the washer I saw this box that said MT on it, I lifted it down and it still had the never used FSD in it.
When I went back up stairs I brought the box with me and the lady asked What Did You Find, I told her what it was and asked if she would sell it, she laughed and refused any money and asked if there was anything else I wanted in the basement as she knew that she was not going to be able to stay in the house much longer and it would all get thrown out when she moves on and the kids want the house sold. When I wrote up the repair invoice I gave her a free $19 dryer belt in exchange. Ken I am keeping this one for the restored brown MT CA900 that I have but I do have one of these that was glued back together that I would part with. These early MT FSDs were pretty weak and also clogged easily if not used carefully so few survived. |
