I drove behind an appliance store today to see what "junk" as they called it,was behind the store. There sits a really good looking Maytag wringer, round tub, Chieftan model. I asked him what he was going to do with it and if he wanted to sell it. He said "No, my wife is going to plant flowers in it in the spring." He said that the motor was burned out on it and was going to keep it as a planter!
I offered him some money for it and he said no. Oh my gosh, what are they thinking?

This is further proof aliens have landed and the gene pool has been disfigured beyond repair. The implants are beginning to surface with comments like this, "oh no, my wife wants to put flowers in it".

How about offering him some other washer that will become sheet metal or more land-fill? Any nearby you to give this poor debilitated soul comfort from anxiety?

you see this stuff all the time......

I even had one as a bird bath, with flowing water over the rollers and tray for a waterfall drama.....

at least people are doing tasteful things with it.....I rather see a wringer put to good use a hell of a lot more than seeing a toilet on the front lawn with weeds growing out of it!....

no different than Pete/rollermatic using the Hydrosweep wash arm on his pond.....that was freakin awesome, and ingenious....I would love to have a pond set up like that...

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder....

Try offering MORE money to the Mr &Mrs Plnter folks-After all using the washer as a planter would qualify as "Non Sporting" use of the washer!Offer them enough and an even more junker of a machine for their plants and maybe they will give.

It was not the most desireable machine in the first place when it did work.....Now if it had been a Maytag or an older Speed Queen or Kenmore Visi-Matic...I would never have done this to it....

Or how about when folks want to use functional or non functional wringer washers as beer coolers!Or on one Dennis the Menence episode-he used the family washer to make a huge milkshake for all of his freinds!
