Interesting...that Electrochef was invented and produced here in Detroit; sold by the Detroit Edison Company in the 20s to soak up some of the excess power generated. Small payment on your monthly bill. The Detroit Vapor is from Pittsburgh--Hornes was one of the department stores there; I guess they private labeled for The Joseph Horne Company.
