Hmmm.... that 'deep' style of cooktop would suggest an early model.

Those are first-generation built-ins (pre-1960).

 

I had an aunt and uncle who built a home in the summer of 1960, and included 1961 GE appliances.  The kitchen included this cooktop with the remote control panel and I always thought that was just too fantastic!

I wasn't aware that any change was made to the body of the cooktop. Paul, what was the difference in the size between the early and later models?
