£132/6/- (one hundred and thirty two pounds and six shillings or 30p in decimal coinage). However this is an Australian advertisement not UK where the price would have been around £85.00 for the equivalent machine.
I believe that the AUS pound had a different exchange rate to the UK pound but I don't doubt that Hoover priced it at what the market would bear at the time. |

Spotted this following Laundress's link above, which is the new styled second series Hoovermatic. Nothing strange there you might say until I noticed that the heater control is not thermostatic as it was in the UK - it was not until a couple of years later that the Hoover 65 came along in the UK with no thermostat and lower grade heater.
