OK, now this ad is REALLY Freaky...!  The appliance delivery man is in the chick's basement, and here she is comin' down stairs...

The look on her face suggests he snuck in, as she seems surprised, as opposed to being let in & allowed to do his thing installing the washer--er, are the hoses hooked up yet?!

The look on his face suggests he wants to open up more than just the lid on the washer, exposing more than just the box of Tide...

And I suppose further along, is the makin' whoopee...!

It's all easily explained.

Perhaps they were both just a little overexcited about Kelvinator's Three Way Agitator. Back in the early 50s, few people had heard of three way anythings. You must give her hostess points for changing into high heels to receive the delivery man. He probably rang the doorbell at the front door and was directed to go around to the basement entrance which she went down to unlock for him. She went back upstairs while he was getting the washer off the truck and came back down the stairs all excited on so many planes when he called up to her, "Lady, where do you want me to put it?"

Her neighbors would never recommend a Kelvinator to anyone because they saw the service truck at her house at least once a week.

Yesterday's P.O.D. (2/20/2016, Norge) also seems to be from that "another dimension, known as The Twilight Zone"...

Yes, Junior's on the phone calling mom, while the one-man delivery of a probably very heavy Norge washer arrives by a fairly neatly-dressed delivery guy--just wait til he has to carry that thing farther and install the plumbing & electrical--not to mention carting out the old washer!

Maybe Papa's laying on the couch or reading the paper in his easy chair, yelling out: "Get the door, it's Mother's new washer!"...
