Had a good run on these today... An elderly couple had called me up saying their Elite 930 had given up and they thought the motor was gone, they have had it since new and never had a problem with it till now - 34 years or so.

On the way back to unload that I spotted an Elite 940 sitting out the local washer shop - in their to dispose of area.

The 930.... Turns out the motor windings are fine, the centrifugal switch itself was sticky (dust, dirt?) which made it not lower fully and was making the micro switches flick between hi/low speeds and start winding on/off... Cleaned the centrifugal switch up and it runs like new...

The 940, seems to have no fault.

All in all it was a good day.

A few pics attached great (as I was testing/cleaning them up)

The 930 is cleaner internally... Also a pic of the centrifugal array
