I recently found three great Thor service manuals including one for the Thor Automagic Sink washer/dishwasher combination that was installed in Lustron Homes from 1948 into the early 1950's. I just added the manuals to the Ephemera Library if anyone would like a copy...

Thor Automatic Sink Service Manual for Lustron Homes

Thor Automatic Washer Service Manual

Thor Automagic Washer-Dishwasher Service Manual

The Thor Automatic Washer pictured below in the 2nd manual cover is so super 1950's looking, I would love to find that machine!

Good heavens...  The washer on the cover of the 2nd manual reminds of the fictious-brand washer that was on that episode of "I Love Lucy" when the Ricardos sell the Mertzes their old automatic washer which then explodes.  Hmmmm.... kinda like one of my restorations... LOL

Interesting,

I know what a Lustron house was. All steel. The siding was like that also used on gas stations.

Thors I can find.  Service manuals I can find.  But let me be lucky and find the dishwasher attachment -- no!!

Thanks for posting these.  I'm definitely going to add them to the library.

In the meantime, the search continues!   There's a dishwasher attachment out there with my name on it somewhere!!

Yes, the free-standing Thor does look somewhat like Lucy's ill fated washer. However, I think hers was a modified Jacobs Launderall.
