Hi everyone,
Our state nightly news here in Queensland Australia do a regular 'Flashback' story on Sunday nights. The reporter has been looking at various household appliances, so I contacted them to find out if they were going to do a story on the washing machine. Below is the result of the filming, focussed on the evolution of the washing machine from washboard, to wringer to automatic and (for Australia) how the 1960's was a real boom period for manufacturing in Australia. He makes an interesting point I didn't think of - still around the world most people have never used a washing machine--- we need to change that.
